Principal's Corner

February 26, 2021

Dear PAAAS Community,

Hoping that our monthly newsletter reaches you in the best of health.

We have begun preparations and have completed a Student Return Information Packet that will be disseminated to all of our families the week of March 1, 2021. We eagerly await the return of our students to our school building. Those that wish to stay virtual may do so. I never thought I would say that I truly miss all the noise! I cannot wait to have all of the healthy and exciting chatter back in our hallways and classrooms.

Students that choose to attend an in person-learning environment may return on April 12, 2021. Please be advised that we will continue to follow the Hybrid schedule that is currently in place. The schedule alternates between an A-Day and a B-Day.

During March, we will continue to implement effective instructional programs as we are preparing for our spring State level Assessment, NJSLA grades 7 – 10, and the

Science Exams. We strive to provide interventions and enrichment on the necessary skills to give our students the best learning opportunities that will prepare them to test successfully. Please have your student reach out to their respective teachers during our daily intervention period for assistance. As of this writing, we do not have testing dates. As soon as the NJDOE releases those dates, we will inform our families.

Auditions for prospective students will take place the week of March 29. We are still accepting applications for 7th and 8th grade. Please inform families that may be interested in sending their students to PAAAS.

If we can answer any questions or if you have any comments regarding PAAAS, please feel free to call or email us your suggestions.
